TANAH JAMBU, 25 November 2021 – A promotion ceremony for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers was held at the Ceremonial Hall, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces this morning.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Acting Commandant of the DA RBAF, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin. Also present at the event were Senior Officers, Officers and other personnel of the DA RBAF.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the rank presentation by the guest of honour. A total of 7 personnel of DA RBAF have been promoted; two personnel promoted to Acting Warrant Officer 1, two personnel promoted to Sub-Warrant Officer 2, one personnel promoted to Acting Warrant Officer 2 and two personnel promoted to Sub-Staff Sergeant. The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and a photo session.
The promotion ceremony was held to celebrate DA RBAF personnel who have been promoted, to show appreciation as well as to encourage the personnel to continue their service with sincerity and dedication. The ceremony was conducted in accordance with the current guidelines from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Health during the transition phase of the National COVID-19 Recovery Framework.
