TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 08 March 2024 – The distribution of ‘Kurma Kurnia Peribadi’ or dates bestowed as a personal gift from his Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddie Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to representatives from the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) units was held at Surau Asy-Syuhada, Tanah Jambu today.
Present to distribute the dates was Lieutenant Colone Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali, Deputy Commandant of DA RBAF. Also present to were Senior Officers, Officers and Staff of DA RBAF.
The event was conducted after the weekly halaqah where all DA RBAF member gather for recital of Al-Quran followed by recital of Ratib Al-Attas and tazkirah delivered by Ustaz Abdul Nasir Saufi bin Hassan, DA RBAF religious teacher.
The distribution of the dates as personal gift from His Majesty symbolizes the love and care of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddie Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in performing religious acts in conjunction with the upcoming month of Ramadhan.
