RBA Golf Club, Saturday, 10 April 2021 – The Defence Academy Golf Classic competition in conjunction with the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces’s 10th Anniversary was held at the Royal Brunei Airline (RBA) Golf Club, Bandar Seri Begawan.
A total of 16 players participated in the half-day event consisting of special guests, officers and other ranks of DA RBAF. Two categories were contested which are the Top 5 Nett categories and Novelties. For the Top 5 Nett categories, the Nett winner was Captain Abd Qahhar bin Haji Abdul Mulok. Among the winner for Novelties were, Most Birdie Nett winner was Yang Mulia Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim and Most Par winner goes to Major Ghazali bin Haji Hussin. Meanwhile, the winner of the Most Bogey was Lieutenant Colonel Salehudin bin Dato Paduka Haji Puasa and Most Double Bogey winner was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Peter bin Ulat@Yulat. Emerged as the Champion of the Defence Academy Golf Classic this year was Captain Abdul Qahhar bin Haji Abdul Mulok.
Among those who participated in the event were Yang Mulia Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, the Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force, Colonel (R) Saiful Akhmar bin Haji Mohd Shariff, the former Commandant of Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, the acting Commandant of Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The Defence Academy Golf Classic is an annual competition event which marks the closure for activities held in conjunction with the anniversary of DA RBAF and subsequently to encourage its personnel to play golf.
