TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 14 Mei 2021 – All Muslims throughout the country ushered in celebrating Hari Raya ‘Aidilfitri 1442H to mosques and suraus to perform the Eid Al-Fitri Prayer in the early morning. This includes the Defence Academy of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) which also held the Prayer at Surau Asy-Syuhada’, Kg. Tanah Jambu.Present at the event was the Acting Commandant, Lt Col (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin. Also present were Defence Academy Senior Officers, Officers, 11th Command and Staff Course participants, Intake 20 Male Officer Cadets and other military personnel.
The ceremony commenced with Hari Raya Takbir followed by Hari Raya Aidilfitri Prayers led by Mohd Khairol Azmi bin Haji Salleh, Imam Surau Asy-Syuhada’ and proceeded with sermons delivered by Cpl Sahrul Al-Hasri bin Hamzah from Royal Brunei Armed Force Religious Department, (JAMA’AT). The ceremony then concluded with Tasbih Kafarah.
The morning prayer was held to mark the month of Syawal – a festive occasion celebrated by Muslims in prayers, gatherings and feasts. It is also a time to seek forgiveness from families and friends.
