TANAH JAMBU, Tuesday, 30 May 2023 – In showing gratitude for RBAF 62ndAnniversary, A doa kesyukuran event was held concurrently at all Suraus in Ministry of Defence and RBAF including at Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces at Surau Asy-Syuhada, Tanah Jambu.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Deputy Commandant of DA RBAF, also in attendance was Senior Officers, Officers, Staff and Course Participants of DA RBAF.
The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Anfal verses 60 – 63 by 55094 OCdt Ak Muhamad Akmal Zuhair bin Pg Hj Kamarudzaman followed with Fardhu Maghrib prayer and continued with Sunat Hajat Prayers, recitation of Surah Yasin & Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran for RBAF 62nd Anniversary. The function concluded with the Fardhu Isya’ prayer led by Imam Ak Khairuddin bin Pg Muhd Yussof , Imam of Surau Asy-Syuhada’.
The Doa Kesyukuran was to seek the mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala for all personnel of the RBAF to be blessed with strong determination and the spirit to serve and fight in defending the country from elements that would undermine the faith and peace, especially in upholding all of the Titah of the monarch by abstaining from doing all of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala’s prohibitions.
