Wednesday, 26 July 2023 – Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Deputy Commandant of the Defence Academy RBAF, led the 13th Command and Staff College’s overseas study tour delegation to Australia. During the visit, he had the opportunity to call on Air Commodore Ruth Elsley, Acting Commander of the Australian Defence College.
During the call, both sides reiterated the warm and longstanding defence relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Australia. Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar expressed his deep gratitude for the hospitality and generosity extended by the Australian Defence College in hosting the Bruneian delegation, including the Command and Staff Course participants. The meeting also paved the way for potential future areas of cooperation and collaboration in Professional Military Education, with a particular interest in Joint-Ops Planning and Wargaming.
