Friday, 28 Jul 2023 – The Command and Staff Course Delegation spent their final day in Canberra visiting the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The delegation was hosted by the Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Maritime Branch, Mr Hugh Robilliard along with key representatives from DFAT, a renowned institution responsible for shaping and executing Australia’s foreign policy and promoting its national interests on the global stage. This visit provided an invaluable opportunity for the delegation to gain insights into the multifaceted work carried out by DFAT and to foster meaningful exchanges and discussion on AUKUS, South China Sea, maritime security and Australia effort to maintain peace, stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
