TANAH JAMBU, Tuesday 12 July 2022 – In conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha 1443H celebration Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) this morning held Korban event at Ceremonial Hall of Defence Academy.
Present to distribute the sacrificial meat was Yang Mulia Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces. In attendance of the event were senior officers, officers and staff of Defence Academy, Head of village from Kg RPN Tanah Jambu and RPN Meragang along with Asnaf group from both kampong.
The annual Korban even included a tazkirah titled 'Fadhilat Ibadah Korban' delivered by Ustaz Abdul Nasir Saufi bin Hassan, Religious Teacher from RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA'AT). The event continued with recital of Takbir, distribution of sacrificial meats to asnaf recipients residing in RPN Tanah Jambu and Meragang. A total of 1 Buffalo and 1 cow were sacrificed this year.
