DEPUTY COMMANDER OF USINDOPACOM VISIT TO DA RBAF
TANAH JAMBU, FRIDAY, 24 JANUARY 2025 – The Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) received a visit from the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) delegation led by Lieutenant General Joshua M. Rudd, Deputy Commander of the USINDOPACOM.
 
During the visit, Colonel Pg Sharifuddin bin Pg Hj Yusof, Commandant of the DA RBAF and the Deputy Commander of the USINDOPACOM engaged in discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration in military education and training. They explored opportunities for joint training, knowledge exchange, and capacity building to enhance military development. Additionally, they discussed strengthening bilateral ties, improving operational collaboration, and implementing best practices in leadership and strategic planning.
 
Lieutenant General Joshua M. Rudd continued with an engagement with the participants of the 15th Command and Staff Course (CSC 15/2025). In his address, he stressed the importance of friendship and teamwork in ensuring peace and security. With 37 participants from different regions, he highlighted how such courses help build understanding through cultural diversity. He also emphasized the Indo-Pacific’s key role in the global economy and the need for cooperation and communication to promote peace.
 
The visit concluded with a parchment signing and a group photo with the Command and Staff Course participants and Directing Staffs. Lieutenant General Joshua M. Rudd expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended during his visit.
