Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of the Defence Academy RBAF, attended the event as the guest of honour. Senior representatives from various sub-units of the Defence Academy, as well as the Directing Staff and their families, were also in attendance.
The purpose of the event was to introduce the international participants to Brunei's culture, traditions, and cuisine. Highlights of the evening included a traditional 'Gulingtangan' music performance, a showcase of local dances, and a Silat demonstration. International students were invited to participate in the traditional dance performances, which enhanced the interactive and immersive experience.
In addition to cultural engagement, the event established a foundation for future interactions throughout the 11-month CSC course, focusing on collaboration and camaraderie. It served as a valuable opportunity to cultivate strong relationships among course participants and their families, reinforcing the notion of connections that extend beyond the uniform and the duration of the course.
