TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 10 March 2025 - Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) commenced The First Khatam Al-Qur'an in conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1446H at Surau Asy-Syuhada, Tanah Jambu.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Commander Haji Edy Jofren bin Pehin Datu Penglima Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, RBN, The Chief Instructor of DA RBAF. Also in attendance were Head of Departments, Senior Officers, Officers and personnel of DA RBAF.
The ceremony commenced with the collective recitation of the final verses of the Al-Quran, Takhtim, Dzikir Marhaban and followed by the participants of the Khatam Al-Quran receiving ‘bunga telur’. The event concluded with prayers for the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam and the nation.
The Khatam Al-Quran ceremony aims to cultivate and strengthen the practice of Al-Quran recitation among Muslim personnel during the holy month of Ramadhan. It also fosters spiritual discipline and resilience, reflecting the core values of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
