TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 26 June 2025 - Defence Academy held an event to usher in the new Islamic Year llal Hijrah 1447 at Surau Asy-Syuhada at Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF).
Present at the event was Commander Haji Edy Jofren bin Pehin Datu Penglima Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, RBN, Chief Instructor of DA RBAF. Also present were officers, personnels of DA RBAF and officer cadets of intake 24.
The event began with the recital of the end of the year 1446 Hijrah prayer, a mass Maghrib prayer, recitation of wirid followed by recitation of doa for the new Islamic year 1447 Hijrah. The function then continued with sunat hajat prayer, recital of surah Yasin and concluded with the mass Isya' Prayer.
