KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Wednesday 2 August 2023 – The theme of the 25th ARF HDUCIM, held in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia is ‘Defence Education Diplomacy for Sustainable Peace and Security’. This further divided into 3 important subthemes namely ‘Infusing Peace Education Into The Curriculum Of Professional Military Education’, ‘Peace Education In Professional Military Education As A Pathway For Increasing The Role Of The Military In Peacebuilding Operations’ and ‘Enhancing Collaboration Among Defence Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions For The Infusion And Integration Of Peace Education’. 
The Commandant of DA RBAF, in his presentation on infusing peace education in the RBAF Professional Military Education (PME) highlighted the importance of infusing peace education in the RBAF curriculum, especially in line with the current contemporary operating environment as well as trends in peace education. He also shared the results of a survey conducted by DA RBAF HQ, where the majority of participants agreed on the importance of incorporating peace education in the RBAF. 
The participating institutions, in their respective presentations and sharing also emphasized on the significance of the military’s contribution in peacekeeping, peacemaking and peacebuilding and underscored the importance of inculcating these elements in defence education and academic programs. It is also imperative to raise awareness that as much as the military’s main role is as a warfighting mechanism, it serves a critical role as an enforcer of peace, stability and security.
