TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 03 September 2021 – A handover ceremony between the outgoing Academy Sergeant Major (ASM), WO1 Rosleen bin Haji Tujoh and the incoming ASM, WO1 Rozain bin Haji Pungut, was held at the Ceremonial Hall, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) today. In line with the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 control measures and guidelines, the ceremony was witnessed by Acting Commandant, Lt Col (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the DA RBAF via live-streaming.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Abdul Nasir Saufi bin Hassan, Academy’s Religious Teacher, followed by a farewell speech by the outgoing ASM, signing of parchments and handing over the ASM’s cane from the outgoing ASM to the new ASM.

The newly appointed ASM also took the opportunity to deliver an inaugural address as the 3rd ASM of DA RBAF before presenting mementos to the outgoing ASM. The event concluded with the recitation of thanksgiving prayer.

The Acting Commandant of DA RBAF also received a farewell call from the outgoing ASM at the DA RBAF Headquarters. During the call, the Acting Commandant expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to WO1 Rosleen bin Haji Tujoh for his tremendous leadership and contributions over the past 13 years that had brought pride to the academy as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer model. The Acting Commandant then congratulated and wished WO1 Rosleen bin Haji Tujoh for continued success in his next role as the Land Force Sergeant Major.
