TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 01 December 2023 - The Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) held a Family Day celebration, in conjunction with its 13th Anniversary, today at the DA RBAF, Kg Tanah Jambu. Present as the Guest of Honor was Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, the Commandant of DA RBAF. In attendance were also officers, permanent staff and the Officer Cadets of DA RBAF, alongside their invited family members.
The event was filled with fun fair activities, stalls and static displays from the various Defence Academy departments, fostering bonds and interactions between families, officers and staff of the Defence Academy. The event commenced with the recitation of the opening du’a. The event followed with a Zumba led by the Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) of DA RBAF before proceeding with a group photo and a trail walk around the camp. This provided an opportunity for the families to experience and witness the surroundings within the Defence Academy, as well as, further understanding on how the programmes are carried out, especially for the families of the Officer Cadets of Intake 22.
The celebration hoped to embrace and instil greater family values, and strengthen ties and good will among the family members of the DA RBAF personnel, which will not only encourage a healthier working environment, but also, a better emotional, psychological and social well-being of its personnel.
