TASEK MERIMBUN, TUTONG, Saturday, 09 December 2023 - The Officer Cadets (OCdts) of Intake 22 completed the Commander's Challenge, an annual 42km challenge that all every OCdts must undertake before they commission as Royal Brunei Armed Forces officers.
The challenge started in the late afternoon of Friday, 08 December 2023 and ended the next morning on Saturday, 09 December 2023. The intake was divided into 6 sections and they had to work together to finish the 42km journey starting at Kampong Manilas and ending at Taman Tasek Merimbun. During their 42km endeavour, the sections were faced with various challenges and obstacles that tested all the knowledge and experience they gained from their year-long commissioning course. Completing the long journey, while bringing along their heavy bergens, the OCdts were pushed to their limits as they only had their wits and each other to reach the finishing line.
2 Platoon 3 Section scored the highest points and took home the coveted Commander's Challenge trophy this year. Present to award the trophy was the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan.
As the OCdts finish this challenge, they are now taking the last few steps towards the end of their commission course. The parade square now awaits the steps of the latest intake of Officer Cadet School.
