BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 11 September 2024 – The Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) participated in a Dikir Maulud Nabi Muhammad SAW event for 1446H, held at Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien. The guest of honour was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Awang Muhammad Amiruddin Bin Hj Awang Tuah, Head of Command and Staff College (CSC), along with Lieutenant Colonel Pg (U) Haji Muhd Yusri Bin Pg Hj Sharifuddin, Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet School. Also in attendance were officers and staff of DA RBAF.
The event commenced with a mass Maghrib prayer, followed by the recital of Sayyidul Istigfar and Sirah Nabawiyah. It then continued with Dikir As-salamu'alaika, after which the Isyak prayer was performed. This was followed by the recitation of Selawat Badriyah, Dikir Dibaie, and Dikir Marhaban. The event proceeded with Doa Dikir, Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam, and Selawat Qiam. The program concluded with a photo session.
This event forms part of a broader community outreach programme, designed not only to promote spiritual growth but also to reinforce a shared sense of purpose and strengthen relationships within the community. They also serve as a reminder of the significance of collective remembrance and prayer, in line with Brunei's rich Islamic traditions. Through events like these, the Defence Academy strengthens both its community ties and the spiritual resilience of its members.
