TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 28 October 2024 – Defence Academy held a handover ceremony between the outgoing Officer Commanding Of The Administration Wing, Captain Muhammad Fairuz bin Rosli and the newly appointed Officer Commanding, Captain Shazwani binti Ali at the Auditorium, Defence Academy. Present during the ceremony were Officers, Academy Sergeant Major, School Sergeant Major, Wing Sergeant Major, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers, Junior Non-Commissioned Officers of the Defence Academy.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by the Defence Academy's Religious Teacher, Ustaz Nasir Saufi bin Hassan. This was followed by a heartfelt farewell speech from the outgoing Officer Commanding, who expressed his deep appreciation for the commitment and teamwork of all personnel. He acknowledged that their dedication to their roles and responsibilities had been instrumental in achieving outstanding results for both the sub-unit and the broader organization. The ceremony concluded with the signing of the Handover Certificate by both officers, marking the official transition of the Officer Commanding role for the Administration Wing.
The ceremony proceeded with the newly appointed Officer Commanding delivering her inaugural speech. She expressed her deepest gratitude for the outgoing Officer Commanding’s leadership and shared her hopes for continued cooperation and teamwork within the Administration Wing to overcome future challenges and strive for excellence in all tasks entrusted by senior leadership.
The ceremony ended with a group photo of Defence Academy personnel with the outgoing and newly appointed Officer Commanding of The Administration Wing, followed by light refreshments.
