TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 28 October 2024 – The Defence Academy hosted a formal handover ceremony between the outgoing Adjutant, Captain (U) Abdul Hadi bin Arifin, and the newly appointed Adjutant, Lieutenant (U) Muhammad Saifullah bin Matamit at the Auditorium, Defence Academy. In attendance were Officers, the Academy Sergeant Major, School Sergeant Major, Wing Sergeant Major, as well as Senior and Junior Non-Commissioned Officers of the Defence Academy.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by the Defence Academy’s Religious Teacher, Ustaz Nasir Saufi bin Hassan. This was followed by an earnest farewell speech from the outgoing Adjutant, in which he expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering cooperation, dedication, and teamwork of the personnel that made the achievements during his tenure possible.It was then followed by the signing of the Handover Certificate by the two officers thus marking the official handover role of Adjutant.
The ceremony continued as the newly appointed Adjutant delivered his inaugural speech, expressing his profound honor in stepping into the role as Adjutant. He conveyed his deepest appreciation for the outgoing Adjutant and recognized The Defence Academy’s remarkable achievements over the years.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo of Defence Academy personnel alongside the outgoing and newly appointed Adjutant and the event ended with light refreshments.
