TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 29 September 2025 – The Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) held a Regimental Dinner Ceremony in conjunction with the Retirement of Yang Mulia Colonel Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), at the Ceremonial Hall, DA RBAF.
Also present to commemorate the occasion were the Academy Sergeant Major, Wing Sergeant Major, School Sergeant Major along with the SNCOs of DA RBAF, and their spouses.
During the ceremony, Yang Mulia Colonel Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof emphasized that the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) are the backbone of the military organisation. He highlighted that SNCOs play a vital role in ensuring that young personnel are well-trained and disciplined, operations are conducted smoothly, and team morale remains high at all times. He also reminded the audience that behind every success lies the unwavering support of loved ones - spouses and families who continuously offer encouragement and prayers. In concluding his remarks, he urged all personnel to uphold the spirit of camaraderie, maintain discipline, and continue setting a positive example for the younger generation.
This meaningful event was held as a gesture of respect and appreciation for the Commandant of the Defence Academy, RBAF, in recognition of his outstanding leadership, unwavering dedication, and selfless service particularly for his instrumental role in advancing the development of the Defence Academy and strengthening military education throughout his 33 years of service in the RBAF.
