TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 13 February 2026 — The Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) today held a Ceremony for the Presentation of Dates, as a Personal Gift from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in conjunction with the forthcoming holy month of Ramadhan 1447 Hijrah. The ceremony was held at Surau Asy-Syuhada, DA RBAF, Kampung Tanah Jambu.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Commandant of DA RBAF, who presented dates as His Majesty’s Personal Gift to members of the DA RBAF Executive Committee, including the Academy Sergeant Major and the Officer Commanding Admin Wing. The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa for the Distribution of Dates, followed by Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, led by Ustaz Haji Abdul Nasir Saufi bin Hassan, Religious Teacher of DA RBAF.
Held annually in conjunction with the forthcoming holy month of Ramadhan, this presentation symbolises His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s generosity and enduring care towards His people and members of the RBAF.
