PAKISTAN NAVY WARFARE COLLEGE VISIT TO DA RBAF

Tanah Jambu, Monday, 09 February 2026 The Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) today welcomed a delegation from the 55th Pakistan Navy Staff Course of The Pakistan Navy War College who are currently in Brunei Darussalam as part of their study tour. The 15 members delegation was led by Commodore Nasir Mahmood SI (M), Sector Commander Naval Intelligence (South).

The visit began with a Courtesy Call with the Commandant of DA RBAF. During the meeting, the Commandant extended a warm welcome to Commodore Nasir Mahmood and his delegation, expressing appreciation for their visit and emphasizing its significance in strengthening bilateral defence ties between the two institutions.
Following the Courtesy Call, the delegation attended a series of briefings delivered by Haji Azlan bin Haji Abdul Ghani from the Directorate of Intelligence, Hj Muhammad Abdul Aziz bin Hj Ya’akub from the Directorate of Defence Policy and Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Hamzah bin Pengiran Ahmad Damit from the Joint Force Headquarters. The session outlined Brunei Darussalam’s defence structure, strategic outlook, and operational approach, highlighting the roles of the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the key messages of the Defence White Paper 2021, and the importance of joint, interagency, and multinational operations, defence diplomacy, and military education in navigating an increasingly complex contemporary operating environment.
The session continued with an engaging and thoughtful question-and-answer segment, fostering open discussions on the enduring defence relationship between Brunei and Pakistan. The session further highlighted Brunei’s continued commitment to defence diplomacy and regional cooperation, as well as the importance of military education in navigating today’s complex operating environment.officers to navigate the complexities of today’s contemporary operating environment.
The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted at the Auditorium of DA RBAF, marking a successful engagement between DA RBAF and the Pakistan Naval War College. The delegation’s five-day visit to Brunei includes educational focused programme including visit to Brunei’s top landmarks such as Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah which provides a comprehensive understanding of Brunei’s landscape and heritage.
