TANAH JAMBU, DEFENCE ACADEMY, Monday, 13 December 2021 – Leadership and Management Centre, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces(LMC DA RBAF) held the Second Online Research Essay Writing Skills
Workshop today. The workshop will be conducted for 4 days from 13 to 16
December 2021. The main purpose of this workshop is to equip
participants of the upcoming Intermediate Staff Course 21/2022 with
basic knowledge of essay writing. Apart from that, this workshop is also
opened to any junior officers who are interested.
The
first day of the workshop was attended virtually by 20 RBAF Officers
from the different units. The day started off with an Introduction to
Essay Writing by Lieutenant Commander Mohammad Khairul Anuar bin
Abdullah, Directing Staff 2 LMC DA RBAF. This was followed by a lesson
on Critical Thinking by Major Lizawati binti Haji Suhaili, Academic
Advisor 2 DA RBAF. The workshop had the honour of having Yang Mulia
Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat,
Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, joining in on the discussion
session at the end of the first day. Also present during the discussion
session was Colonel (U) Abdul Rahman bin Hj Durahman, Chief of Staff of
the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The
next three days will focus on more technical essay writing topics such
as Research Skills, Writing an Introduction and Conclusion, Paragraph
Construction, Paraphrasing, Plagiarism and many more.
