GADONG, Friday, 29 November 2023 - The course participants of the Intermediate Staff Course 24/2024, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) held an Appreciation Dinner at The Rizqun International Hotel, Gadong.
Present as the guest of honour was Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of DA RBAF. Also in attendance were Chief Instructor, Acting Head of Leadership and Management Centre, as well as officers and staff from DA RBAF.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa by Captain Abdul Mu’iz Azizi bin Zulkifli and proceeded with welcoming remarks from Captain Clarence Ong Jun Xiang.
The event also witnessed the presentation of the Best Orator of the ISC Speaker’s Corner which was presented to Captain Andi Rishas Permana Djalil S.Than from The Indonesian Armed Forces.
The evening concluded with the presentation of mementos by the International Officers, followed by a speech from the guest of honour. In his speech, the Commandant emphasised the significant lessons the course participants ought to internalise and apply in their respective units, which pertained to professionalism, knowledge, morality and leadership.
This event marked a farewell celebration and appreciation for those involved in facilitating the smooth running of the ISC 24/2024 before the graduates embark on future challenges and responsibilities of their military careers in middle management roles. It also served as a reflection of their readiness for leadership positions, and ready to make significant contributions to their respective fields.
